The Work

Sacral

Oil and Mirror · 60 × 72 in · 2023

Her largest work to date, Sacral marks the threshold where the literal mirror dissolves into water. A cupped hand opens onto a reflective sky while a wave breaks below — the self meeting the self across a gilded seam, where what was broken is mended in gold.

About the Artist

The self, reflected.

Crys Adams is an Atlanta-based visual artist whose work centers on self-reflection as a process of understanding identity, growth, and personal responsibility. Working primarily in painting, she also explores ceramics and sculpture.

Her practice has evolved from incorporating literal mirrors to using abstract representations of water as a symbolic form of reflection. Rooted in her artist name — CrysFLY, Find Light Yourself — the work invites viewers to confront, understand, and evolve through their own experiences.
